Dear colleague,

As tourism researchers, we are aware of most of globalizing processes that shape the tourism as a world industry. These global processes should be addressed, investigated and monitored in a fully integrated manner by large research teams from many countries. EATSA’s mission is to encourage the design and implementation of transcontinental research projects, in order to make possible to approach global phenomena of tourism with more integrated methodologies.

Our innovative approach consists in promoting and supporting collaborative networks of researchers. These networks are created by our members according to the following bottom-up procedure.

 

  • At the Annual Conference of EATSA, you can present your own idea or research project to the other EATSA members, asking their cooperation, in order to start or develop an international comparative study (see the International Collaboration Forum in the programme of the EATSA Conference 2016: http://eatsa2016.ipleiria.pt/)
  • Once achieving the necessary support of other EATSA members, you will present your project to Direction Board of EATSA.
  • Finally, your international research network will be registered as a new EATSA networking project, benefiting with the institutional support of the association.
