PhD Eng. Aleksandra Łapko is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering at the Maritime University of Szczecin (Poland).
Her scientific interests mainly concern water tourism, including in particular issues related to:
– tourist infrastructure and its adaptation to the needs of various user groups,
– the impact of water tourism on the functioning of port cities,
– modern tools in marketing communication,
– creating a tourist destination brand,
– sustainable development of water tourism.
Aleksandra Łapko is the author and co-author of 3 books as well as the author and co-author of several dozen scientific articles on tourism issues. She chaired several conference sessions dedicated to tourism at Polish and international conferences.
She has experience in international projects on urban logistics as well as tourism and marketing, in which she cooperated with Norwegian, German, Lithuanian and Danish teams.
She is the coordinator and initiator of creating the Logistics of Water Tourism specialization at the Maritime University of Szczecin, which educates future staff for the needs of enterprises dealing with water tourism in Poland and abroad.
She is a member of the Polish Economic Society, a member of the scientific committee of the Polish-Catalan Cultural Association and a member of the Euro-Asia Tourism Studies Association.
