Dr. Kevser Çınar

President of EATSA

is an Associate Professor with a profound expertise in Tourism, currently serving as the President of the Euro Asia Tourism Studies Association (EATSA). Holding a Ph.D. in Tourism Management from Necmettin Erbakan University, Türkiye, and a Bachelor’s degree from Middle East Technical University, her career spans over 17 years of dedicated commitment to academia and EU project management. As an academic in the Department of Tourism Management and a Project Unit Coordinator at the Social Innovation Agency, Dr. Çınar has showcased adept leadership in numerous international EU projects, prominently including roles as coordinator in projects like Get2Action, TOURBAN, and TOURIBOOST, as well as partnership contributions to initiatives such as Heritage4Growth, SMARTDEMA, and SCOUT. Certified in curriculum development by the Institute of Educational Sciences, her research pursuits predominantly focus on innovative practices in tourism, consumer behavior, cultural heritage, and entrepreneurship, with over 50 published works comprising peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and she also serves on the Editorial Board of TÜBA Higher Education Research/Review (TÜBA-HER), adding her expertise to the academic discourse and shaping the scholarly landscape in higher education. She has actively organized high-profile events such as the 5th Annual Conference of EATSA and hosted various EU project gatherings in Turkey. Additionally, Dr. Çınar is a TEDx speaker.

Dr. Madhuri Sawant

Vice President Asia

Dr. Madhuri Sawant is the Director Department of Tourism Administration, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, India, Vice President of Euro Asia Tourism Studies Association and also Chief -Editor of Euro-Asia tourism Studies Journal. As an Expert Member of Tourism, she is working on the Government of India’s University Grants Commission and various prominent Academic Committees of Tourism in over 18 Universities in India. A postgraduate in Tourism Administration (MTA) she is the First UGC NET-JRF and also first Woman to be awarded PhD in Tourism in the state of Maharashtra, India. She also holds PG Diplomas in Business Management, German Language and Environmental Studies. Her principal research interests are Marketing, CSR, Socio-Economic Aspects, Heritage Tourism Management and has completed 05 Major Research Projects sponsored by University Grants Commission (UGC), Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR) and Ministry of Tourism Government of India As a frequent traveller for academic and Research Assignments, she has visited various Universities in, Portugal, Japan, France, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Chile and South Korea. She has over 52 publications including 06 books and 29 referred journal articles and book chapters to her credit and has organized Five International and 14 National Seminars / Conferences / Workshops. As a Research Supervisor, she is guiding Doctoral Research Fellows from United Kingdom, Japan, Thailand, Kenya and Yemen on Health Tourism, Creative Tourism, Corporate Social Responsibility, Human Resources in Tourism, Internet Marketing, Destination Branding, Film Tourism, Crime & Tourism and she has evaluated several doctoral thesis & conducted Open Viva-Voce Dr Madhuri has delivered Keynotes in several National and International Conferences.

Piotr Zmyslony

Vice President Europa

Ph.D. in economics, associate professor at Poznań University of Economics and Business, Institute of International Business and Economics. In 2022-2023, the fellow researcher in Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary. His research areas include tourism destination governance, urban tourism, the night-time economy, tourism development strategies, digitalisation and sustainability of tourist SMEs. Currently he is conducting aresearch on digitalisation on the night-time economy governance. Board member of Wielkopolska Regional Tourist Organisation and Poznan Tourism Organisation. Co-author of Tourism in the City portal.

Petra Gyurácz-Németh, PhD

Executive Secretary

is an Associate Professor at the University of Pannonia, Veszprém, Hungary. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality and a master’s degree in economics (specialising in marketing management) from the University of Pannonia. She has experience in several areas of tourism in tourist information, tour operation and the hotel sector. Her doctoral research on hotel standardisation and customisation was defended and received an excellent rating (summa cum laude). Initially, her research interest included hotel quality, mostly from a process management point of view, then innovation became the focus, which included topics on types of innovation and innovation culture in the hotel sector. Then sustainability came into focus, highlighting sustainability policies and strategies concentrating on the individual’s responsibility. She is currently leading a research group called Career break and career change in tourism under the shadow of Covid 19 – Analysing the career paths of senior and former tourism students, which focuses on tourism employment. She established and managed the Quality Centre at the University of Pannonia for 4 years. Petra is currently the Head of the Institute of Business Studies at the Faculty of Business and Economics.

Anne-Marie Lebrun

Treasurer

holds a PhD degree in Management Science from the IAE (Business School) at the University of Burgundy, Dijon, France and a research supervision accreditation (HDR degree). She also holds a Master’s Degree in Tourism Management from the University of Aix-en-Provence in France. As an Associate Professor of marketing and management at the University of Burgundy, she directs the Master in Sports Management – Consumption and Marketing of Sport and Destination Brands since 2013. She has served as the Vice-President of the University of Burgundy, responsible for the continuing education and professional education for adults, and as a member of the scientific committee of the House of Human Sciences. She was co-leader of a Team from the SPMS (Socio-Psycho Management Sport) research laboratory. She was the chairperson of two International Conferences in Dijon (France): the 15th International Conference of IT Applications and Management (ITAM15) in 2016 and the 4th International Conference of Euro-Asia Tourism Studies Association (EATSA) in 2018. She is a reviewer for international journals such as Tourism Management, Asia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research, European Journal of Marketing, Service Business and European Sports Management Quarterly. Her research focuses on consumer behavior, consumer experience, social representation and brands in the field of tourism and active leisure. She has more than 30 publications including peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. She belongs to the CREGO research laboratory and is currently co-leader of the PARC (Recreation and Cultural Practices and Activities) research group.
